Blue Exorcist,’ or Ao no Exorcist in Japanese, is an intriguing dark fantasy anime television series that is based on a manga series of the same name. A-1 Pictures chose this dark fantasy series to be converted into an anime television series after it quickly became a favourite in Japan.

Exorcist (Ao no Exorcist) in blue We’ve learned so much so far in Season 3!

That Blue Exorcist uses the original source to produce an anime series without straying even a smidgen from the original content makes it even more authentic. After its premiere on April 17, 2011, Blue Exorcist quickly became a favourite of fans and newcomers alike. Several one-off episodes and an anime film were released between 2011 and 2012 following release of the first season. The show’s second season was finally revealed after several years and premiered on January 7th, 2017. Here’s everything we know so far about when the third instalment will be released.

The Third Season of ‘Blue Exorcist’ Isn’t Out Yet, When?

When Blue Exorcist: Kyoto Saga was launched on January 7, 2017, it lasted through March 25 of the same year; it’s the second season of the anime. Blue Exorcist: Kyoto Saga OVA was released on April 4, 2017 and October 4, 2017 following the release of Season 2 of the anime. There has been no word yet on the third season, but we may hope that it will begin with a look at the second season’s finale. There is also no time limit, so we can expect an announcement for the third instalment any time this year. Also in January 2023, we can expect a third release. If the past two seasons’ schedules are any indication, Ao no Exorcist Season 3 could premiere in April 2022.

The release of the new season may be affected by the current COVID-19 scenario.

What Can ‘Blue Exorcist’s’ Third Season Be About?

While we’re discussing a third season, we know that there’s enough material to go around. Like how Blue Exorcist: Kyoto Saga took a long time to gather enough material for the best of the second season. Rin and her companions will have to deal with an organisation called the Illuminati, lead by Lucifer, the King of Light, in the third season if the manga is followed. They plan to revive Satan and unleash demons and zombies on the world’s populace as their primary goal. In the manga, Sabutota Todou is an active member of this organisation.

Additionally, the Gehenna Gate, a portal between the two worlds, will be introduced in Season 3. Built by Illuminati in the former Russian nuclear plant’s grounds. However, they were unable to get the engine to perform as expected. Only the Exorcists stood a chance of stopping the portal from opening. It was a dismal failure, to say the least. The devils claim that Assiah and Gehenna formerly shared a realm. As a result, the Illuminati will once again combine the two universes into one. To achieve this, they’ll need to conduct a variety of experiments. Rin and his twin brother are the only ones who can put an end to this.

What Can We Learn About Season 3 From the Manga’s Creator?

Even though Kazue Kato, the manga’s author, normally takes at least one month off per year, she releases new chapters of the manga every month. “I ask for one month off a year, but in Japan, serialisations are the norm, so they don’t take it very well. Please accept my apologies for flying off! “In a July 2016 interview, she stated this. “For this reason, I hold authors who serialise their works on a weekly schedule in high regard. They regularly put their health and personal life at risk in order to do so. It’s a task that can only be done by a select few who have the mental and physical courage to do so. There is no way I’m one of those people.”

Kato also hinted at the manga’s completion, and stated that the manga would end “”There may be four more arcs,” which suggested that around “half of the entire plot arc [had] been completed. We’ve discussed the conclusion a few times, if not many times “She went on to clarify. “Right now, there are a few possible patterns for the conclusion, and we’re hopeful that one of them will emerge. Some of those patterns just don’t work, and you’re left thinking, “Oh, that’s too bad.” That’s why it’s gone.”

Assuming she publishes 11 chapters a year, the book’s conclusion will be in 2023.. Consequently, we are certain that there will be a third edition in the near future.
