Poster and Trailer of Thor: Love and Thunder Has Been Reveled Here Is the First Look of It!

Though Marvel continues to add new superheroes to its MCU roster, in 2022’s Thor: Love and Thunder, fans will be treated to a new film starring one of the original Avengers, Chris Hemsworth’s Thor.

Thor will star in his fourth solo Marvel film. Thor: Love and Thunder is a component of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Phase 4, which began in 2021.

So far, this new phase of the MCU has seen the release of Black Widow, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, Eternal, and Spider-Man:

No Way Home on the big screen, as well as the expansion of the MCU on television, with Disney Plus premiering a number of Marvel original series — WandaVision, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Loki, and Hawkeye — that continue the larger, connected story.

In addition to Thor: Love and Thunder, Marvel will release Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever in 2022, as well as new Disney Plus shows Moon Knight, Ms. Marvel, and She-Hulk. Thor:

The Cast of Thor: Love and Thunder

The cast of Thor: Love and Thunder will feature an intriguing mix of new and fan favorite characters as the Marvel Cinematic Universe continues to expand, but first and foremost, Chris Hemsworth will reprise his role as Thor.

Hemsworth has played Thor since 2011, appearing in seven MCU films, including three solo films and all four Avengers films (eight if you count his post-credits appearance in Doctor Strange, which was actually a scene from Thor: Ragnarok).

Hemsworth, on the other hand, hasn’t been limited to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Hemsworth has also appeared in films such as Snow White and the Huntsman, Rush, and Extraction during his stint as Thor.

He’s become one of Hollywood’s most popular performers, having a penchant for mixing action and comedic parts, which he’s demonstrated in Thor.

While other original Avengers performers such as Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, and Scarlett Johansson have seen their characters’ arcs come to a close, Hemsworth’s character, Thor, continues to evolve.

Though it’s possible that in Thor: Love and Thunder, his title as God of Thunder will be passed on to someone else – Natalie Portman.

In Thor and Thor: The Dark World, Portman played Jane Foster, a scientist and Thor’s love interest; she did not appear in Thor:

Ragnarök (it was explained that the couple had broken up), but her character did make a cameo appearance in Avengers: Endgame.

Portman is back for Thor: Love and Thunder, and it was confirmed early on that Jane would play the superpowered Mighty Thor in this new film (check out some concept art revealing what Natalie Portman’s Thor: Love and Thunder costume might look like below).

Portman is best known outside the MCU for her Oscar-winning performance in Black Swan and her role as Padmé Amidala in the Star Wars prequels, but she has a long and illustrious career that dates back to her childhood, when she starred in the film Leon: The Professional.

The plot of Thor: Love and Thunder

The following is the official Thor: Love and Thunder synopsis: “Thor embarks on a trip unlike any other he’s ever undertaken: a quest for inner peace.

However, a galactic murderer known as Gorr the God Butcher, who seeks the extermination of the gods, interrupts his retirement.

Thor enlists the support of King Valkyrie, Korg, and his ex-girlfriend Jane Foster, who, much to Thor’s surprise, wields his mystical hammer, Mjolnir, as the Mighty Thor.

They embark on a perilous cosmic journey together to unravel the mystery surrounding the God Butcher’s vengeance and stop him before it’s too late.”
