So Far, What We Know About Season 2 of Classroom of the Elite

Based on the manga and light novels of the same name, “Classroom of the Elite” is a popular high school drama anime. “Classroom of the Elite” is a light novel series by Shgo Kinugasa that depicts the life of a few high school students who enter Japan’s most renowned academic institution in the bottom-ranked class (via Anime News Network). The main character, Kiyotaka Ayanokji, is a super-genius who, for reasons that remain a mystery, purposely dropped to the bottom of the school. Kiyotaka soon discovers that the school’s academic accomplishments are based more on sabotage than study, which prompts Kiyotaka to defend him and his pals as they rise through the ranks of the school’s academic hierarchy.

After the release of the original light novel in 2015, it was quickly followed by manga and anime adaptations, which premiered in 2017. “Classroom of the Elite,” like many anime adaptations, was unable to include all of its original material. Because of this, viewers have yet to see the start of a second season. For now, it may seem doubtful that the show’s producers would continue the series, but they haven’t formally cancelled it. As a result, nothing is known about “Classroom of the Elite” Season 2, although there is enough to be learned about the show’s premise, actors, and an anticipated premiere date. So far, here’s what we know.

What is the release date of Season 2 of Classroom of the Elite?

Studio Lerche and Funimation and Crunchyroll seem to be defiantly keeping quiet about the second season of “Classroom of the Elite” despite the show’s four-year anniversary. “Classroom of the Elite” Season 2 has yet to get any official announcement from the show’s producers, therefore it’s safe to presume that it will never happen. Still, there is a ray of optimism for enthusiasts due to the absence of any mention of the matter.

There is a good chance that another season of “Classroom of the Elite” will not be published for at least a year (if not longer) after it is announced. According to a different post from Anime News Network, “Assassination Classroom” was one of Lerche’s earlier ventures. As a result, “Classroom of the Elite” might take as long like eight months (or perhaps longer) to produce as the first season did.

Anime isn’t complete without a great cast of characters, and “Classroom of the Elite” is no exception. “Classroom of the Elite” also contains a number of supporting characters, including protagonist Kiyotaka Ayanokji (voiced by Shouya Chiba in Japanese and Justin Briner in English through Myanimelist). These include Suzune Horikita (Felecia Angelle), a soft-spoken but clever student who rapidly becomes friends with Kiyotaka (Akari Kitou/Felecia Angelle). A popular classmate of Suzune and Kiyotaka, Yurika Kubo/Sarah Wiedenheft Kikyou Kushida (Yurika Kubo/Sarah Wiedenheft) joins the group.

The English dub for “Classroom of the Elite” has traditionally been published in parallel with the Japanese version, which is great news for those who want to see the programme in its original language. This is likely to continue if “Classroom of the Elite” Season 2 is ever published. Critics have lauded the English dub of the first season, particularly the performance of Justin Briner as Kiyotaka (via Anime News Network).

In Season 2, what happens to the students in the classroom?

It ends with Kiyotaka successfully predicting each class leader’s identity to win the school’s survival exam in a way that’s reminiscent of a “Lord of the Flies”-style scenario. But once he’s won, he finds out that his father has been trying to have him kicked out of school for good. That being said, this might very well be tied to Kiyotaka’s underlying motivation for attending the institution. As long as he’s there, Kiyotaka will continue his studies.

“Classroom of the Elite” Season 2 is expected to be loyal to its manga and light novel source materials if it follows in the footsteps of the previous season. Lerche has a lot of material to pull on since the show’s source material is ahead of the anime in terms of plot advancement. Kiyotaka’s motives for joining this ruthless institution remain a mystery to the viewers. While his father’s influence may have an impact on his academic progress, he has not yet risen to the top ranks of the class. If “Classroom of the Elite” Season 2 is ever produced, it seems like Lerche will continue all of these storylines.
