Season 3 of ‘the Orville Release Date: Confirmation by Hulu!

After delaying the debut of “The Orville” from March to June, Hulu gave fans a consolation prize by releasing the first few minutes of video from the third season as a conciliation gift as they wait even longer for the show’s comeback.

Thank you for your patience while we negotiated the production obstacles brought on by the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak, “The Orville” creator and actor Seth MacFarlane said in a message released through Twitter on Friday.

In the ever-changing television scheduling environment, our program has been relocated, which means that the wait will be a little bit longer, and we’re now prepping for a June 2nd premiere on Hulu,” says the cast. We’ve always promised you a television experience that would make the wait worthwhile, and we’re not going to back down on that promise. We understand your dissatisfaction with the continued delays, therefore we’d like to provide you with a sneak preview of what’s to come in the future. The first few minutes of our season-opening episode, as well as the new main title, are seen below!”

According to Hulu, “In “The Orville: New Horizons,” which takes place 400 years in the future, “The Orville” sees the crew of the U.S.S. Orville continuing their exploration mission, as they negotiate both the mysteries of the cosmos and the intricacies of their human relationships.”

Since the show’s second season conclusion on Fox in April 2019, fresh episodes of MacFarlane’s epic space-adventure series have been in the works for quite some time. When the program was renewed for a third season, it was moved from Fox to Hulu, where it has been significantly delayed.

In addition to MacFarlane and Adrianne Palicki, Penny Johnson Jerald and Scott Grimes appear on the show, as well as Peter Macon and J. Lee. Other cast members include Chad L. Coleman, Jessica Szohr, and Anne Winters.

MacFarlane is the creator and writer of the television series “The Orville: New Horizons.” Among those involved with the production are Seth MacFarlane, Brannon Braga, David A. Goodman, Jon Cassar, Jason Clark, and Howard Griffith. The show is a collaboration between 20th Television and Fuzzy Door.
