Gordon Ramsay, Graham Elliot and Joe Bastianich serve as MasterChef US season 1’s judges, putting amateur chefs in the United States through their paces.
Challenges and dishes are given to them, and those who don’t impress are sent home in MasterChef US Season 1.
Fox Network aired MasterChef US Season 1 from July 27 to September 15, 2010, with 14 contestants, and the winner received $250,000, a MasterChef trophy, and their own cookbook.

Then Anthonio aka Tony Carbone used to work as a waiter in Boston’s Fenway neighbourhood. A task in which he had to identify various ingredients resulted in his elimination from MasterChef season 1 episode 7.
After winning MasterChef, Tony launched his own catering company, The Urban Epicurean, to provide personal chef services. So cooking classes, pizza and pasta parties, and private dining experiences are some of the services he provides
White’s Avis
Avis White was a Vacherie, Louisiana-based caregiver. So after finishing in the bottom three with her orange chicken dish on MasterChef season 1 episode 4, she was booted from the competition.
Avis opened her own restaurant, Avi’s Restaurant, in August 2016 at the Quality Inn Hotel in LaPlace, after winning MasterChef. The restaurant opened to rave reviews. In 2017, the restaurant shut down.
So Cooking demonstrations at local events have also been part of her repertoire.

He was born in Boston, Massachusetts, and worked as a software engineer there. In the season 1 finale, he came in second place behind Whitney.
So David married and had a child shortly after winning MasterChef. He’s now a Tech Manager in the software industry, but he’s also a foodie who frequently shares photos of his culinary creations on social media.
Faruq Jenkins, better known as Faruq Tauheed,
Glendale, California native Faruq Jenkins aka Faruq Tauheed worked as a bartender. After finishing in the bottom three with his halibut dish in the sixth episode of season one of MasterChef, he was eliminated.
After MasterChef, Faruq starred in Science Channel’s Battlebots and Universal’s The Noise as a host. He is a well-known actor and voice actor for children’s television shows and video games.

A.J. Gandolpho
Jake Gandolfo was a Santa Cruz, California-based construction worker. Due to a pasta-making failure, he was kicked out of MasterChef season 1 episode 9.
So the Wyoming Food Bank of the Rockies was one of Jake’s first charity cooking events after MasterChef.
On season 3 of Beat Bobby Flay, he appeared as a pit master at BlackBoard Bar-B-Q and now owns and operates the eatery in Boerne, Texas. According to Reddit many news were shared about this film.
JENNA HAMETER
Jenna Hamiter was an Euless, Texas, stay-at-home mom. Her elimination from MasterChef season 1 episode 5 was due to the fact that she named the chilli dish with the fewest ingredients (7/20).
So Jenna went on to work as an actress, writer, and model following her time on MasterChef.
The Eponymous Kim Dung
College Student Kim Dung (also known as Slim Huynh) was born and raised in Harvey, Louisiana. So her passion fruit fondue failed to impress the judges in MasterChef season 1 episode 8.
After MasterChef, Kim went back to college to finish her degree and works at a restaurant part-time.
Lee Knaz Knaz
Lee Knaz, a bartender from Venice, California, was assassinated on April 15, 2018. After losing to Whitney in the cook-off, he was eliminated from the competition in MasterChef season 1 episode 1Aside from being a privateef and running his own business, Lee is also a caterer who delivers meals through his company, Mission Olive LLC.Through The Mediterranean Guy, he promotes the Mediterranean diet and offers e-cookbook cooking classes. On the reality competition show Recipe Hunters, Lee is the chef and host.
Mike Kim, a Redondo Beach, California, native and Server, has passed away. When his poached pear trifle failed to impress Gordon in episode 10 of Season 1, he was eliminated from the programme.
Prior to the 2011 closure of RnD Table, So Mike and a friend opened a pop-up restaurant called RnD Table, which received favourable reviews.
Executive Chef for Plan on Q, he has worked in restaurants in LA, including The Bazaar at the SLS Hotel
Ms. Sharone Hakman
Sharone Hakman was a Los Angeles-based financial advisor. In the eleventh episode of Season 1, due to an undercooked souffle, he was eliminated from the competition.
As a result of MasterChef, Sharone launched Haks, a line of sauce and salad dressings, and appeared on Khloe’s Kocktails.
As of 2019, Hak’s Chef Crafted Meals, a line of ready-to-eat meals sold in supermarkets across the United States, has been launched. In addition, he serves as a spokesperson for the American Heart Association’s campaigns.
Sheena Zadeh
Marketing Executive Sheena Zadeh was born in Anaheim, California, and grew up there. In MasterChef season 1 episode 4, she was eliminated from the competition after her mandarin orange salad placed her in the bottom three.
Sheena went on to appear on the shows House and Banshee after MasterChef and is now a cosmetics salesperson. She wed Greg Yaitanes, a director, in November 2012.
A Sheetal Bhagat,
Sheetal Bhagat was a teacher in Chicago, Illinois, who was known for her dedication to her students. On MasterChef season 1, episode 12, she lost to David in a cook-off involving veal Milanese, apple pie, and clam chowder.
Sheetal started Spice Note after MasterChef. So Tequila had a son and a successful music career after meeting and marrying an architect. When she was in Chicago, she sang the national anthem at Wrigley Field and was working on an album.
Tracy Nailor’s Name is Tracy Nailor
Originally from Atlanta, Georgia, Tracy Nailor worked as a doctor. During MasterChef season 1 episode 9, her pasta dish did not impress the judges.
At Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and Directmed Healthcare Solutions, Tracy works as an Urgent Care Physician for paediatrics. She also serves as a consultant.
Ms. Miller, Whitney
Poplarville, Mississippi native Whitney Miller was a college student. Because of her inherent talent in the kitchen, she emerged victorious from the first season of MasterChef.
So Whitney returned to college to finish her degree and released Modern Hospitality: Simple Recipes with Southern Charm and Whitney Miller’s New Southern Table.
To this day, she is still actively involved in the culinary world, whether it’s through her many published recipes or her appearances on television as a chef or as a host of other cooking-related programmes. On her website, you can hire her as a food stylist. Her cookie business was a success. So Cookies will be available for purchase via mail order from Whitney’s Cookies in the year 2020.
