Finally, the fourth season of Stranger Things is on its way. It has a lot of big questions to answer after season three’s 77-minute finale, “The Battle of Starcourt.”
A lot of information about the future of the Hawkins gang and where they’ll be going next was given to superfans on February 17.
Here’s everything you need to know about what’s coming up in the next few episodes.

When Will Stranger Things Season 4 Start?
A release date has been set for Season 4 of Stranger Things! The two parts of the season will both come out at the same time! First half: May 27, 2022, on Netflix. Second half: July 1, 2022, on the same service. Stranger Things season five, the show’s last season, will follow.
With nine scripts, over 800 pages, almost two years of filming, tens of thousands of visual effects shots, and a runtime nearly twice as long as any previous season, Stranger Things 4 was the most difficult season yet, but also the most rewarding.”
“We can’t wait to show you what we’ve done.” Previously, Shawn Levy said that season four was taking longer than anyone expected, which is why the last episodes came out in July 2019.
The Cast of Stranger Things Season 4: Who’s Back?
There are a lot of people who make the show what it is, so you can expect to see them again: Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown), Mike (Finn Wolfhard), Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo), Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin), Will, Max, Nancy, Jonathan, and Robin, as well as other characters. The show wouldn’t be what it is without them, so you can expect to see them again:
We also know that David Harbour will be back as Hopper, even though season three seemed to end in a tragic way. When talking to Total Film, Harbour said his character had to change and come back in some way.
“So we’ll see a very different guy going forward,” he told the magazine. The same person, but in a different way. “It’s cool to be able to play.” In season two, Eleven found boxes in Hopper’s attic that were labeled “dad,” “Vietnam,” and “New York.” Harbour says that season four will show more of his backstory in a nod to that scene.
Liverpool Comic-Con: “In season 4, we’re going to give you a big, big revelation about Hopper’s backstory that we’ve not really told you about. We’re going to show it in a big way.” “I love that you don’t know about him yet, but it has to do with these stories about New York, Vietnam, and dad.”

When Harbour talked to Entertainment Weekly in October, he gave a few hints about what fans can expect in the new season. “I think I’ve got the best storyline.” In order to make sure we don’t have an ending like some of us thought about the show Lost: “What happened to the polar bear?”
“We’re trying to get people to come in, so the different parts of the storyline start to come together and become a whole.” It takes a lot of pipe for that.
Most fans know that Harbour’s polar-bear comment is about the unanswered questions about the furry beasts that swarmed around Lost’s tropical island in the cult show. Official Stranger Things Twitter also said that the hit show will have some new people in season four, including stars of Black Lightning and Anne with an E.
After some “shocking events,” Myles Truitt will play Hawkins’ basketball player Patrick. Amybeth McNulty will play Vickie, a “cool, fast-talking band nerd who gets the attention of one of our favorite heroes.” Asked by The Times, “I was one of my best friends to watch Stranger Things’ first season.” In the beginning, I was cast. It came out of nowhere. There were a lot of tears and screams. I was very excited.”
The Queen of the South’s Regina Ting Chen is going to play guidance counselor Ms. Kelly, who cares a lot about her students, and Lady Driver’s Grace Van Dien is going to play popular girl Chrissy, but “behind the seemingly perfect surface lies a dark secret.” This means that “behind the seemingly perfect surface lies a dark secret.”
It was announced back in November 2020 that there would be a lot of new cast members, but now there are even more. Like Freddy Krueger, Robert Englund will play Victor Creel, “a disturbed and intimidating man who is in prison.” Englund, who played Krueger for the majority of the 1980s, will play Victor Creel.
Tom Wlaschiha, who plays Jaqen H’ghar in Game of Thrones, is Dmitri, a “smart and charming” Russian prison guard who is also “cute.” He is Jason Carver, “a handsome, rich athlete who is dating the most popular girl in school.” Steve Harrington can’t wait to find out what he thinks of him.
In the Twilight Saga, Jamie Campbell Bower is Peter Ballard, “a kind man who works as an orderly at a psychiatric hospital.”
The character of Argyle is played by Eduardo Franco, who played Booksmart. “A fun-loving stoner, pizza delivery boy, and Jonathan’s new best friend,” says the movie. “No-nonsense”: Sherman Augustus is Lt. Colonel Sullivan, and he is “a man who thinks he knows how to stop the evil in Hawkins.” He is a badass soldier. If he meets Hopper, there will be fights.
When Nikola Djuricko plays Russian smuggler Yuri, he’ll be “unpredictable and loves bad jokes, cold hard cash, and crunchy style peanut butter.” We like him right away. Eddie Munson is the head of the official D&D club at Hawkins High, the Hellfire Club. British actor Joseph Quinn plays him.

Enoch from Agents of SHIELD star Joel Stoffer has also been cast in a role that is still unknown. On Comicbook.com in July 2020, Stoffer told them: “I have a role on Stranger Things that we haven’t shot yet.” I don’t think it will last long. “I didn’t know any of the actors or any of the names in my scene.”
It was Dr. Sam Owens (Paul Reiser) who came back in season three. He works for the US Department of Energy and was named Director of Operations at Hawkins Lab after Dr. Martin Brenner left. He used to be in charge of looking into the Gate to the Upside Down in order to stop it from causing a lot of damage. He was the one who helped Hopper adopt Eleven.
It’s possible that he’ll play a role in the next installment because he was brought back in after more Gate drama, as well as the growing Soviet threat. If he doesn’t turn into a bad guy like Brenner after all, we hope he stays that way. Even though Reiser played the ultimate “80s nice guy-turned-sleazebag” in Aliens, we hope he stays good.
If you want to know more about Brenner, the silver-haired research scientist who pushed Eleven too far and caused her to open the Gate, you can read about him here. Sinister white-coated government spooks and scientists would be nice to have back on the scene again!
We saw Brenner get attacked by a Demogorgon in the first season, but we didn’t see him die. This makes it seem like the show made a deliberate choice. As if that wasn’t enough, Priah Ferguson is now a series regular in season four. That’s because, well… So, nerds, be ready for a lot of sass.
Stranger Things Season 4: What Will Happen?
This is the official synopsis for season four: “It has been six months since the Battle of Starcourt, which brought terror and destruction to Hawkins. This season, we’ll see how things have changed.” Trying to deal with the aftermath, our group of friends has been split up for the first time, and high school hasn’t helped.
When they are at their most vulnerable, a new and terrifying supernatural threat emerges, and it presents them with a grisly mystery that, if solved, could finally put an end to the horrors of the Upside Down.
Natalie Dyer told the Independent that the scripts for the new episodes are “great.”
‘Where will this go next?'” This can’t go anywhere. Oh my God! “Wow, wow!” We are then given the scripts for the next season. She said: “It’s going to be very big.” It will be big!
Season three came to an end on a very sad note. Following Hopper’s death, Joyce, Will, and Jonathan moved out of their home in Hawkins and into a moving van with Eleven in tow.
“It’s not all good news for our “American.” He’s being held in a prison far from home in the snowy wasteland of Kamchatka, where he’ll face dangers both human and non-human.”
There’s a new horror that’s coming to light in the United States, something that’s been hidden for a long time, something that links everything together. There’s also one big change: Eleven can’t even lift her teddy bear off the top shelf of her wardrobe.
But we’re still with Mike. It’s very likely that her psychokinetic abilities will come back. We hope so. Our thoughts: Right? Guys?! In the end, there’s that scene. Because there’s still another season or two to go, it doesn’t seem like the Gate has been closed.
The Soviets, even though they had a huge setback, aren’t done yet. They have a Demogorgon in captivity. Is that proof that the Gate hasn’t been properly shut, but has just been slowed down? It’s also possible that Demogorgons are able to open their own little “Gates” or tears in the fabric of reality.
And we don’t know what the Soviets are going to do next. They might be planning to build an army of Demogorgons. They both show a group of people walking through Hopper’s prison in Russia. We hope they’re trying to get out.
Asked about season 4, the Duffers said it would “open up a little,” not in terms of special effects or scale. It would “open up in terms of letting storylines go outside Hawkins,” they said.
It did say that “We’re not in Hawkins anymore” in a teaser back in September 2019. A trailer later showed that the Byers family and Eleven are now living in California, where it is warm and sunny. They had said in late 2020 that the first episode in season four would be called “The Hellfire Club.”
So Now We Know What Each Episode of Season 4 Will Be Called. They Are:
- At least one of these is called “The Hellfire Club.”
- At least one thing is called “Vecna’s curse.”
- This is what the title says: “The Monster and the Superhero.”
- It said: • “Hello, Bill.”
- The “Tina Project”:
- “The Dive”:
- This is the name of the movie that was made about the massacre at Hawkins Lab.
- The “Piggyback” is the name of the show.
The Hellfire Club was the name of a group of villains in the X-Men comics, led by Emma Frost. It was also the name of a group of rogue real-life aristocrats in the 1800s. Dear Billy is probably a reference to Billy, Max’s brother who turned evil in season three but sacrificed himself to save Eleven and the rest of the group at the last minute.
Billy was played by Dacre Montgomery, who died in 2013. If that’s the case, we might see flashbacks and a cameo from Dacre, who played Billy in the first episode. As for her evil father, Dr. Martin Bremer (Matthew Modine), Eleven called him “Papa.” We haven’t seen him on screen since the end of season one when he was thought to have been killed by the Demogorgon.
It was in season two that he appeared in a dream with Eleven’s siblings, who were also very powerful. So the title of this episode suggests that the bad guy will be back, or that Eleven will be reunited with her real “Papa,” Hopper.
Netflix’s hit show has already been talked about a lot. Speculation has been rife that season four might be the last – whether dropped all in one go, as usual, or split into two halves (via an Independent report), essentially giving us one more season after the upcoming installment.
Creators Matt and Ross Duffer have admitted that they already know how the Netflix series is going to wrap up – and they have done for quite some time.
Every season is kind of its own whole story for Matt. It’s true that we have a lot of mythology. Season by season, we’re turning the page and revealing a little more and more. Our general direction is clear, though. We’ve known the show’s ending for a long time.

As for the show’s endgame, you can expect to see it seeded in season four, which has been confirmed as not being the last one. He said, “We know what the end is, and we know when it is” (via CNN). “The pandemic has given us time to think about the show in the future and figure out what is best for it,” says John. Starting to fill that out helped us figure out how long we need to tell that story.
He told Collider that the end is “insight.” He added that “there is a plan.” That plan won’t be revealed as soon as a sense of when season four is coming out, but it will be soon enough, he said. : I can say that. As we go along, no one is making things up as we go along. There is an endgame if you will.
Millie Bobby Brown has been seen on set in a hospital gown, which is a clear reference to Eleven’s first appearance on the show. Now we know that the Duffer brothers say that season four isn’t the last one. However, that’s the kind of lovely circular narrative reference that usually comes at the end of a story, which is why it’s so nice. But we’re going off on our own.
At Netflix’s TUDUM event in 2021, fans saw a first look at what’s to come in a creepy house called Creel House. A flashback shows that there was a serial murder there in the 60s. Strange things start to happen at the house that a husband and wife and their two kids had always dreamed of. It’s like something out of Amityville Horror and American Horror Story: Murder House!
Finally, the son and daughter die. The husband stands over their dead bodies in a hallway. During season four, this person we know will be a big part of the show. Robert Englund will play him.
Even though the house has a lot of history, Steve and Dustin aren’t scared off by it. Their break-in seems to be linked to an old, scary grandfather clock in the loft.

Spin-offs: What Comes Next?
“This story” might be over, but maybe not the whole world. That’s what the Duffer Brothers said in the letter announcing the fourth season of their show.
People wrote that “there are still a lot of interesting stories to tell in the world of Stranger Things.” There are still mysteries, adventures, and heroes who aren’t who they seem to be. There is a powerful girl named Eleven, a brave friend, a broken police chief, and an angry mom who lives in the town of Hawkins in an alternate dimension called the Upside Down. We hope you stay with us as we finish this story.
Co-CEO Ted Sarandos said that Stranger Things was a “franchise in the making” at a Vox media event recently (via Deadline). Brown could be in charge of an “extension of the Duffer Bros universe” as part of her Netflix deal, the magazine said. Wowza.
The show’s creators have built a huge, complex world with a lot of stories and scope. Because the show has been so successful for the streamer, the company will want to keep it going for a long time.
For a long time, there has been talking about having a separate show about Eleven. Netflix hasn’t yet confirmed or denied the rumor, though. So, your guess is just as good as ours, too. That doesn’t mean that the show isn’t important. Maya Hawke’s Robin has her own podcast and her own book, Rebel Robin.
This isn’t the first book in the series to come out. It’s not even the first one. Besides the TV show, there’s also a comic book collection that goes along with it. One of the comics is about a girl named Six, who also participated in the experiment Eleven was a part of. Another story called Suspicious Minds has also come out.
