Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is one of the most well-known people in the world, and it’s easy to see why. Wrestling, sports, music, movies, and TV are just some of the things he’s worked on.
Legendary multimedia personality and star of the upcoming Black Adam has had a long and successful career that doesn’t look like it’s going to stop any time soon.
For the longest time, he hadn’t done very much in the field of scripted TV, but now he’s done a lot more. Young Rock didn’t start until February 16, 2021. Young Rock is clearly based on sitcoms about real people, like Everybody Hates Chris. It tells the storey of Dwayne Johnson’s life at different ages, just like the title implies.
With Season 1 becoming the most-watched show on NBC in 2021, a second season was almost certain. It could be here sooner than you think. Everything you need to know about Young Rock Season 2.

What Is Young Rock About?
It’s about the Rock…but when he’s young…There’s more to it than that. Dwayne Johnson is not only the main character of the show, but he also has a big role in each episode. The show starts with a flashback to the year 2032 when The Rock is running for President of the United States.
However, some people in the United States don’t believe right away that The Rock’s legendary and infectious charm is real. They think it’s all a big ruse.
As a way to get rid of this uncertainty, Dwayne Johnson agrees to do a series of interviews where he talks about his past in a very open way. Because of this, a lot of the show is made up of flashbacks from Johnson’s childhood, teen years, and college years.
Is Young Rock a True Storey?
There are a lot of creative changes that Young Rock makes in this movie, just like in any major biopic adaptation. Obviously, the future parts that happen in 2032 are all made up. We’re not saying that Dwayne Johnson isn’t a time traveller, because at this point, why not?
It’s still true that there are some characters in the TV show who make brief cameo appearances in these parts. But this time, they are played by their real-life counterparts instead of actors who were cast as younger versions of the characters.
Some parts of the flashbacks are true, but they are also romanticised for the sake of making the storey easier to follow. They say that Young Rock is as accurate as possible, but there are a few big differences:
The timeframe of some scenes is different even though they are still very similar in content. The show’s showrunner, Nahnatchka Khan, is from Fresh Off the Boat.
People in Young Rock Season 2
You might not have known that Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is in the show. He appears in every episode and acts as a narrator for the show’s flashback scenes.
Each of the three actors plays Johnson at one of the three main points in his life: youth, middle age, and old age. Rock as a child in the early 1980s is played by Adrian Groulx. He is surrounded by his family of wrestlers at all times.
Young Rock, played by Bradley Constant, is going through high school. He’s learning how to be a grown-up and how to help his family, too. Finally, there’s Uli Latukefu as a young Rock, when he played football for the University of Miami.
Other important people in the show are Dwayne Johnson’s parents. In the first place, there is his mother, played by Stacey Leilua, who is his father. She’s the kind of mother these sitcoms are known for, always taking care of and protecting her son.

His father and nicknamed “Rocky” Johnson is also in the mix. Joseph Lee Anderson plays the charismatic professional wrestler who is optimistic to the point of being naive.
There may or may not be a few other famous wrestlers and celebrities who show up during the show, but those appearances are better kept a secret.

Young Rock Season 3?
There hasn’t been a third season of Young Rock yet. It was smart for NBC to announce the second season of the hit show before it even aired. Season 1 was the most popular show on the channel for the year 2021, so it was a good move.
It’s still not clear if Young Rock will return for a third season. The second season of a show is usually the most important test of how long and popular it will be. If fans want to see The Rock’s origin storey become a trilogy, they’ll have to wait and see how many people watch.
