Season 2 of “Cautious Hero” Is Yet to Be Released, but Here’s All You Need to Know About It With the Expected Release Date.
Some argue that it is better to be safe than sorry. At least, that’s what Seiya, the capable champion of “Cautious Hero: The Hero is Overpowered But Overly Cautious,” believes. The klutzy deity was summoned by the goddess Ristarte to save a world ranked “S” that was in danger, and he ignored Seiya’s personality description.
Despite her immense power, Seiya is extremely conscientious. He spends the majority of his time training and preparing for battle. When it comes time to fight, he employs overwhelming force to defeat even the most diminutive opponents.
Based on a series of Japanese light novels written by Light Tuchihi and illustrated by Saori Toyota, “Cautious Hero” saw a surge in popularity before and after the release of its anime adaptation (done by studio White Fox) in 2019. It was named one of the top five anime of the Fall of that year by Anime News Network.
It was praised for spoofing popular tropes of the increasingly over saturated isekai genre. Despite its success, “Cautious Hero” has yet to receive a second season. Nonetheless, Season 2 is not out of the question, so fans should be cautiously optimistic. Here’s what we know so far about a Season 2 if it happens.

Plot of Cautious Hero Season 2?
When we last saw our heroes, they had just defeated the Demon Lord of Gaeabrande, thereby saving the S-ranked world for which Seiya had been summoned. Seiya was resurrected a third time for sacrificing his life to defeat the Demon Lord before being assigned a new world to save alongside Ristarte.
To go along with the revelation that Seiya and Ristarte were lovers in a previous life, the two are assigned to Ixphoria, the world they failed to save all those years ago. However, according to the synopsis for the upcoming light novels, things won’t be the same this time (via Cautious Hero Wiki).

It is now rated “SS” in terms of danger because Seiya and Ristarte failed to save it in their previous incarnations. Seiya has also been reclassified as a flute-playing bard. Seiya’s battle to save Ixphoria will be unlike any he has seen before, as he gains new abilities in a (sort of) brand-new world. Nonetheless, the two are unconvinced. All it takes is a little forethought and planning to get the job done.
When Will the Second Season of Cautious Hero Be Released?
What everyone really wants, as usual, is a release date. And, as is customary with anime, nothing is ever as simple as it appears. Though there has been no official word on why “Cautious Hero” Season 2 has not been confirmed, White Fox continues to have a full plate without it.
Following the completion of the first season of “Following the success of “Cautious Hero,” the studio went on to animate several other projects, including the film “Goblin Slayer” and the second season of “Re:Zero.” Even so, the studio (or the show’s distributors) could at least hint that Season 2 of “Cautious Hero” is in the works.
As a result, White Fox’s silence on the subject may raise questions about whether Season 2 will exist at all. Only time will tell if “Cautious Hero” will see the light of day again. Until then, fans can satisfy their “Cautious Hero” cravings by reading manga or light novels.

Who Will Appear in Cautious Hero Season 2?
At the very least, if “Cautious Hero” Season 2 is released, fans will not have to wait to find out who will star in the show. Given the series’ final events in Season 1, it appears that the series’ core cast of characters (and their associated voice actors) will return for Season 2.
If that’s the case, and the studio doesn’t make any major casting changes, here are a few of the actors you can expect to see (and hear) when “Cautious Hero” Season 2 premieres. Ristarte and Seiya’s voice actors are a lock for Season 2 as the core duo of “Cautious Hero’s” comedic chemistry.
