Along with Luz, Eda, and the other characters we’ve already talked about, “The Owl House” has a lot of great people. They’re brought to life by both familiar and new voices. Luz and Eda live in the Owl House with two other people, King and Hooty.
Dog-like King has a skull on the top half of his head and two horns. He claims to be a former ruler of demons. When the Owl House door is open, Hooty, a strange demon with an owl face, stands guard. In “Gravity Falls,” Alex Hirsch is the voice of King and Hooty. Hirsch voices both.
All of the supporting cast is made up of Luz’s mother Camila Noceda, Eda’s sister Lilith, Emperor Belos of the Boiling Isles, Edric and Emira Blight, Amity’s twin siblings, and Ryan O’Flanagan. As Luz travels around the Boiling Isles, she meets a lot of demons and other witches.
She spends a lot of time with other Hexside students in class or on quests with Eda. During the second season of “The Owl House,” we’ll learn more about the story and the world we already know. We’ll hear new voices in the episodes to come.

Amity, a competitive, standoffish witch at Hexside, is always getting in Luz’s way. But as Luz and Amity get to know each other better, Amity starts to like the other girl. This is the first time that a Disney character has been openly bisexual. Luz is the lead character on “The Owl House.” It was revealed by Terrace on Twitter. She said that “when we were greenlit I was told by certain Disney leadership that I could not portray any form of bi or gay relationship.”
In the end, though, Terrace didn’t give up on her goal to make the LGBTQ+ community more inclusive. “Luckily my stubbornness paid off, and now I have a lot of support from the current Disney leadership,” she said.
“The Owl House” also shows that Luz is bisexual, which is a big deal on its own. The show also shows that the character has a happy relationship with a gay character, called Amity. It’s only the second time that Disney has animated characters who are gay.
Sheriff Blubs and Deputy Durland from “Gravity Falls” are the first. If there is a second season of “The Owl House,” it is likely that Luz and Amity’s relationship, Luz’s magic skills, and Eda’s problems with her curse will be explored.
