First Look at the Second Season of “Maid Sama”

It’s an anime classic, with all the cutesy cliches of a shojo narrative wrapped up in an amusing premise that is brilliantly summarised in its oxymoronic title. “Maid Sama!” The title “maid” is given the honorific “sama,” which in Japan denotes a person of higher rank; the use of the title “maid” in this context makes fun of the low status of the post and emphasizes the central conflict of the show.

Dedicated class president Misaki Ayuzawa is working hard to make her all-boys high school, which recently became co-ed, more welcoming to female students. However, in her spare time, she works as a maid at a maid cafe to help support her family. She does everything she can to keep her job persona and her school persona separate, for fear that her demonic reputation at school may suffer as a result of her soft work persona. That is, until Takumi Usui, a gorgeous and reserved student, learns of her secret existence.

A second season of the anime has been requested by fans because it concludes far before the manga, which has been running for a long time. Everything you need to know about “Maid Sama!” Season 2 is here.

When Is the Second Season of Maid Sama Coming Out?

Even though there is still a lot of manga left to adapt, the J.C. Staff animation company has yet to announce a second season of “Maid Sama!”. Over a decade has passed since the first 26-episode season was released in 2010. Not exactly an optimistic timetable, is it? A decade-old anime series being revived may seem implausible, but the show has lately found fresh life on Netflix, so everything is possible.

Netflix, the popular video-streaming service, has turned into an anime mecca as it attempts to distinguish itself in the increasingly congested world of video streaming. Netflix has produced a large number of original anime series, so there is always the possibility that if “Maid Sama!” garners a sufficient number of viewers, the streaming service will consider bringing it back for a second installment. Fans should express themselves and begin pinging Netflix throughout social media platforms. Hey, that worked for the Snyder Cut, so why not?

Who Appears in Maid Sama Season 2 as a Member of the Cast?

Because a second season of “Maid Sama!” has not yet been greenlit, there is no confirmation of who will be cast in the series’ second season. As of right now, “Maid Sama!” is available on Netflix in both its original Japanese version (with English subtitles) and its dubbed English version, giving it a total of two voice actors to contend with in a possible resurrection.

Misaki and Usui are played by Ayumi Fujimura and Nobuhiko Okamoto, respectively, in the Japanese version of the film. Both have contributed their voices to a variety of other projects, including It’s possible that fans will identify Fujimura’s voice as Azaka Kokutou in “Kara no Kyoukai: The Garden of Sinners,” or that they will recognize Okamoto’s voice as Katsuki Bakugou in “My Hero Academia.”

Their English counterparts are voice actors David Matranga (Usui) and Monica Rial (Usui) who portray the characters (Misaki). He has also done voice work for “My Hero Academia,” but this time as Shoto Todoroki, who is a character in the show. In addition, he provided the voice of Bertholdt Hoover in the enormously successful “Attack on Titan.” Rial, on the other hand, has the most extensive IMDb profile of any of the four. She is likely best recognized for her role as Bulma in the anime series “Dragon Ball Super.”

A second season of “Maid Sama!” would almost certainly have the same cast as the first.

What Exactly Is the Storyline of Maid Sama Season 2?

Even though the anime doesn’t leave the audience hanging at the end of the episode — Misaki finally professes her emotions for Usui, and the two of them start dating — the manga goes much further with the tale. There are 85 chapters in the manga and only 32 chapters in the anime, hence the anime only goes up to Chapter 32. So, while there hasn’t been any official word on a second season of “Maid Sama!” yet, they would have plenty of material to draw from if they did.

Misaki and Usui’s relationship progresses in the manga as the plot digs more into Usui’s family problems. This causes a rift between the newlyweds because his family does not approve of him seeing someone who is reportedly below his social level.

The couple does end up getting married at the end of the manga’s plot despite Usui’s family forcing him to transfer schools ten years after he graduated from high school, even though his family forced him to do so. Season 2 of “Maid Sama!” will almost certainly follow the same plotline, but fans who don’t want to wait can read the story in its entirety right now.
