Plot of Season 3 of Lost in Space

Season 3 of Lost in Space should be no different from seasons 1 and 2 in terms of threats. On Resolute in season 1, an extraterrestrial robot breaches the gigantic ship’s hull, forcing the Robinson family to flee in a small boat.

Having been trapped on a distant planet, the Robinson’s are forced to deal with the environment as well as each other as well as mysterious fellow survivors Don and Smith and an enormous, deadly robot whose loyalties are unknown to everybody but the youngest Robinson, Will (Maxwell Jenkins).

To their dismay, the Robinson’s soon realize that not all of their colonists can be trusted, putting the destiny of humanity at stake. A three-season run for The Robinson’s was always planned by showrunner Zack Estrin as part of his announcement of the show’s third season renewal.

Estrin also revealed a few story elements about the third season of Lost in Space, including the “rousing” finale and a new character. “There are few people in the show that deserve a breather before embarking on their next adventure more than Will, Penny and the rest of the gang: Judy, Maureen, John, Don West, Doctor Smith, and even The Robot.

As well as Debbie the Chicken, of course.” For now, fans can only assume that the series’ season 3 finale cliffhangers will be addressed, and this includes whether the Resolute’s youngest passengers will be saved by Judy (Taylor Russell).

Whether the Robinson children will be reunited with Maureen, John, and Don (Toby Stephens), and whether Smith — and his armies of killer robots — are truly gone.
