Who Are the Judges on American Idol Season 20?
The American Idol judges Katy Perry, Lionel Richie, and Luke Bryan are also returning for another season. Since the premiere of Season 16 on ABC, the trio has remained together.

Season 20 of American Idol Will Have Both Online and Virtual Auditions.
64 contestants will be chosen for the future season, and they will compete in the Showcase Round in January 2022. After that, the contestants will be whittled down to only the top 24.
These 24 candidates will compete against each other in solo and duet performances with celebrities. From here, the top 16 contenders will be reduced to only the top 12.
The remaining dozen contestants will have the opportunity to compete in the live shows, which will begin in early 2022.
