Jamie Foxx was born Eric Marlon Bishop on December 13, 1967, in Terrell, Texas. Foxx was adopted and reared by his grandparents Esther Marie and Mark Talley shortly after his birth. His birth parents were not a part of his upbringing, and he had minimal contact with them as a child.
