What Will the Plot of Raising Dion Season 3?

With the post-credits sequence hinting at a future showdown between Pat and Dion, it can be presumed that any subsequent series will serve as the foundation for this moment.

On one side, Dion will likely get a better understanding and mastery of his abilities, while Pat will achieve the same on the other.

We were hoping for Michael B’s Mark to return – after all, “energy never dies” – but Nicole and Tevin are a sweet couple.

He provides some light into her dark environment, and she appears to be mending. Is there still space for Mark? Dion’s persistence on continuing to produce video recordings for his father appeared to be a hint from the creators that this was in the works.

It wasn’t – at least not this season – but season three is certain to bring a new set of quandaries, and this could be one of them. Brayden represents latent potential and an unfinished story.

He appears to have shed the darkness, but Pat had as well. Will it persist in him as well, or will he use his mind control for good? It will be fascinating to see how the writers incorporate Braydon into Dion’s story.

Will he grow to become the dependable friend Dion desires? Kat’s new position in the scientific department at Biona is a strong indication that we haven’t seen the last of the research facility – especially as they strive to develop a cure for a powered ailment that may be in the future.

Its specific interest in training powerful persons may serve as a breeding ground for Dion’s new powered friends and adversaries.

How Has the Second Season of Raising Dion Performed on Netflix?

We now have some insight into how well the show performed in terms of how many hours were consumed, thanks to the Netflix Top 10 site.

Raising Dion season 2 was watched over 100,000,000 hours on Netflix globally in its first 26 days, 108.75 million to be exact. Between February 28th and March 6th, the series dropped out of the global top ten.

That means it only worked 9.11 million hours that week. Unfortunately, we can’t compare hourly statistics to season 1 because Netflix used different measures back then.

Season 1 of the show was reportedly watched by 32 million accounts in the first 28 days, with 60 percent of all viewing taking place outside the United States.

According to FlixPatrol data, which captures the raw top 10 positions for any given day around the world, the show maintained its place well in the first week before falling precipitously after February 12th.

What Is the Reason Behind Cancelling Raising Dion Season 3?

Netflix has remained tight-lipped about its decision to cancel Raising Dion, although financial difficulties could be at the foundation of the show’s demise.

The fall in Netflix’s stock price as a result of the loss of 200,000 customers resulted in further heartache as investors withdrew $1.1 billion in funding.

According to Rotten Tomatoes, the streaming service is expected to lose another two million users, which can’t be good for the franchise and its home of bingeworthy entertainment.

If this is the basis for the cancellation of Raising Dion, we may see more painful cancellations as Netflix continues to tighten its financial strings.

ALSO, CHECK:

While Netflix may face some difficult decisions in the future months (please, no Ginny and Georgia), the decision to shorten Raising Dion’s shelf life was unquestionably a mistake.
