Justin Bieber Cancels Concerts After a Virus Paralyses Half of His Face!

Justin Bieber said today in an Instagram video post, “For those who are upset that I had to cancel my next shows, I’m just physically not able to do them.” “I can’t move this side of my face at all.”

Bieber said on Tuesday that he was postponing the next few shows of his 130-show Justice World Tour because he was sick, and it wasn’t because of Covid.

He was going to go to Toronto, Washington, D.C., and Madison Square Garden on his next few trips. On his official tour website, the next shows listed are Monday and Tuesday at MSG.

This is the fourth time that Bieber has had to stop or delay his tour. Because of Covid, it was moved from 2020 to 2021 and then to 2022. When he got Covid early this year, it had to be put off again.

“Can’t believe I’m saying this,” the singer wrote on Tuesday. I’ve tried everything to get better, but I’m getting sicker.”

He said that the cause is Ramsay Hunt Syndrome, which is “peripheral facial nerve palsy,” according to an article in the Journal of Neurology, Neurosurgery, and Psychiatry.

Other common symptoms and signs of the syndrome include tinnitus, hearing loss, nausea, vomiting, vertigo, and nystagmus, none of which are good for a performer onstage.

“Ramsay Hunt syndrome is caused by the same virus that makes chickenpox,” says the Mayo Clinic. After you get over chickenpox, the virus stays in your nerves. It could start up again years later.”

Justin Bieber said it was a “virus that attacks the nerves in my ear and the nerves in my face, paralyzing my face.” He said he can’t move the right side of his mouth or blink his right eye.

According to the Mayo Clinic, facial paralysis caused by Ramsay Hunt syndrome is usually temporary, but in some cases it can be permanent.

The virus can also cause permanent hearing loss and weakness in the face, damage to the eyes or nerve damage that doesn’t cause paralysis but can be painful and last for a long time.

Bieber said in this message, “I wish this wasn’t the case, but it’s clear that my body is telling me I need to slow down. I hope you guys understand.

I’ll use this time to rest and get back to full health, so I can do what I was born to do.”

What Is the Ramsay Hunt Syndrome?

Ramsay Hunt syndrome is not common, but it is a very serious illness. It is caused by the same virus that gives you chickenpox and shingles.

Some symptoms are weakness or paralysis in the face, a rash on the ear, hearing loss, ringing in the ears, a dry mouth, and a change or loss of taste.

Antiviral drugs and corticosteroids can be used to treat Ramsay Hunt syndrome. But some people can live with facial paralysis and hearing loss for the rest of their lives.

Ramsay Hunt syndrome is like Bell’s palsy, which also makes the face unable to move, but it is worse. Last year, NSW Customer Service Minister Victor Dominello was diagnosed with Bell’s palsy after worried people who saw his drooping face at a press conference told him to go to the doctor.
