According to court Docs Elon Musk and Shivon Zilis Welcomed Twins in November 2021

Last year, Elon Musk welcomed twins unexpectedly.

According to court records made available to the Insider on Wednesday, the 51-year-old Tesla CEO had twins with Shivon Zilis in November. Texas’s Austin is where the twins were born.

The documents show that Musk and Zilis, who works as the project director for his business Neuralink, requested a name change for their children in April so they would “have their father’s last name and incorporate their mother’s last name as part of their middle name” in Texas.

The twins’ sexes were kept a secret, and the records censored their names.

The request for a response from PEOPLE was not immediately answered by a Musk spokesman. Zilis didn’t answer right away either.

The twins were born just a few weeks after Musk and his ex-girlfriend Grimes, despite divorcing in September, welcomed a girl through surrogacy in December.

In a cover article for Vanity Fair, she reported the birth of Exa Dark Sidereal, whom they have given the name Y. X A-12, their 2-year-old son, is also a shared child.

When the article was published, she tweeted that she and Musk had broken up once more. At the time, she also said that she and Musk desire more children, telling the publication that “we’ve always wanted at least three or four.”

Elon Musk ChildrenMusk now has ten children after welcoming the twins. With his first wife, Justine Wilson, he has twins Vivian Jenna Wilson and Griffin Musk, both of whom are 18 years old, as well as the 2006-born triplets Kai, Damian, and Sax Musk. Nevada Musk, the other kid the couple had, passed away at 10 weeks old.

According to court documents that PEOPLE last month was able to obtain, Vivian’s bid to formally alter her name and gender was approved last month.

Vivian provided a brief phrase explaining her desire for the changes in her initial application, which she submitted on April 18 — only a few days after age eighteen — in her original complaint.

According to court records acquired by PEOPLE, she wrote, “Gender Identity and the fact that I no longer live with or seek to be tied to my biological father in any manner, shape, or form.”

Musk does not frequently talk about his own family, but he has strong feelings on birth control. In December 2021, Musk told the Wall Street Journal’s annual CEO Council that there are “not enough people” in the world.
