Noi Phommasak and Steve Moy have reconsidered their relationship…and decided to call it quits. On July 10, the Married at First Sight stars announced their split on their respective social media sites, more than a month after Lifetime concluded broadcasting season 14 of the reality dating show, in which the couple married.
Noi, kept her divorce announcement brief and to-the-point, posting a photo of herself on a surfboard with the message, “Divorce feels amazing.”
Take back your narrative (even when your voice shakes,” the talent acquisition coordinator wrote on her Instagram Story.
She also appeared to nod to her divorce from Steve Moy in a number of song choices, including Kanye West’s 2021 hit “Hurricane,” which includes The Weekend and Lil Baby.
In a video of herself joyously dancing on the beach, she also featured Camila Cabello and Ed Sheeran’s 2022 smash “Bam.”
“Yeah, love came around and knocked me down / But I’m back on my feet,” the song’s lyrics say. When it came to announcing the news of the couple’s breakup, Steve was much more solemn.
The former sales engineer, 38, stated in a lengthy Instagram statement that he “was not expecting this announcement to happen today, but I am prepared to handle it.”
“I knew our relationship was far from ideal when I said yes on decision day, but I held the belief that with enough time, effort, and understanding, we could overcome the issues we faced and develop a strong, functioning partnership,” he wrote in part.

“I lost faith that this could happen over time and now believe we are incompatible in ways that no amount of compromise can mend or overcome.”
While he conceded that the couple had “been separated for a while now,” Steve also stated that while he was “still holding out for the opportunity for actual change” in their relationship, “this surprising news is a signal that it’s certainly time to let go.”
Steve also stated his worry of “letting people down” by publicizing their breakup and extended his best wishes for Noi Phommasak in the future. “Noi, I’ll always love you. I wish we were a better match “He wrote.
“I wish we could meet each other’s needs without feeling obligated to go above and beyond what we think acceptable. I wish our desire to be flexible with one other matched the chemistry we were blessed with.”
How does he feel? “I’m doing my best to be positive, and I’m lucky to have an amazing group of people around me who have been keeping me up through all of this,” he added.

“Of course, I have some negative feelings about it all, but I’m trying to process it on my own time and with people I can trust on, while trying not to let it leak out in public.”
He continued, “I’ve poured so much of myself into this marriage, the process, and the overall experience. I don’t regret what I’ve given, but it’s pastime for us to start doing what’s best for ourselves.”
Last month, Steve said in another Instagram post that the pair was struggling to “handle the obstacles we face in our private relationship, while lately becoming public on social media, having many people engaged and seeking specifics.”
“We’ve been choosing not to reveal some things while we work through and figure things out,” he continued, “but also knowing that some people are going to want to know more.”
