Kristin Cavallari acknowledged that her Instagram account has recently been a reliable source of matchmaking – but she “isn’t going to settle” for anything less than a blue checkmark.
“I’ve actually been on quite a few dates,” the 35-year-old jewelry designer told Amanda Hirsch on Dear Media’s “Not Skinny But Not Fat” podcast on Tuesday.
“My DMs have practically been my dating app,” she continued, prompting Hirsch to inquire whether she filters messages from people who are “confirmed only.”” No, unfortunately,” the “Laguna Beach” alum said, chuckling.
“I’m sorry, but I’m just going for the verified!” Kristin Cavallari admitted that it’s just “easier” that way, saying, “I can’t filter through all of my DMs, honey, but I can see those blue checkmarks!” Cavallari clarified that her “dream boyfriend” isn’t a celebrity.
Instead, she’s hunting for “some unknown businessman.” “I actually went on a date with a businessman in Nashville,” she suddenly realized.
“However, we’ll see.” I don’t like people very often, and I’m probably pretty picky, but I’m not going to settle. I’m going to be selective.”

After her romance with the unknown man ended, the former “Very Cavallari” actress moved quickly on to Jeff Dye, an Instagram-verified podcaster she met online. “
And then I dated Jeff, who wasn’t known, for five, six months straight after that other man,” Cavallari explained. “And then I stopped dating for a while.”

The Uncommon James founder revealed that she re-entered the dating scene this year and has “been actively dating” since March.
“I’ve been pretty good at keeping things under wraps lately, which is nice,” she said, adding that she was “dating someone for a couple of months” while “going on other dates.”
Cavallari and Cutler, 39, married in June 2013 and went on to have three children: Camden, 9, Jaxon, 8, and Saylor, 6. They announced their divorce on Instagram after “10 years together,” explaining that they had simply grown apart.
