Outer Banks is an American action-adventure mystery teen drama streaming show created by Josh Pate, Jonas Pate, and Shannon Burke. It debuted on Netflix on April 15, 2020.

Premise

Outer Banks takes place in a coastal town on North Carolina’s Outer Banks. There is a big difference between the rich seasonal residents and the poor locals, who are called “Kooks” and “Pogues,” respectively.

The show is about a group of Pogue teenagers who live at The Cut and want to find out what happened to John B., the group’s leader, and his missing father.

Along the way, they find a mythical treasure that has something to do with John B’s father.

The Pogues are being chased by the police and a rich group of Kooks from Figure Eight. They try to get past problems like love, fighting, friendship, and money.

What’s the Status of Outer Banks Season 3 Production?

Official Production Status: Active Filming  February 2022

The Outer Banks season 3 filming schedule was announced in December 2021, which we covered in our article.

Season 3 of the show is now being filmed in Charleston, South Carolina, and is scheduled to wrap up on August 19, 2022, though these dates are always subject to change.

The show technically takes place in North Carolina, but it is filmed in South Carolina, as you will now notice. Netflix’s initial opposition to the restroom bill is one reason for this, among others.

Outer Banks have indeed relocated to the Charleston region of South Carolina, according to reports.

However, we can already start speculating when the upcoming season will debut according to the production timeline of prior seasons.

From August 2020 to April 2021, Outer Banks’ second season was shot. It was then broadcast at the end of July 2021, four months after it was finished.

There’s a chance that season 3 of Game of Thrones will debut on Netflix in December 2022 if a similar schedule is adhered to and there are no production delays or issues. By February 2023, we anticipate at the very least the Outer Banks will be back.

Season 3 of Outer Banks on Netflix: What Can Fans Expect?

Pope’s desire to get his hands on the now-stolen golden cross will probably lead to the continuation of the conflict between the Camerons and the Pogues.

As they seek safety on a far-off abandoned island, Pope, who is escaping the enormous ship, declares that “it’s not finished.”

They choose to remain on the island, although it’s unlikely they’ll stay for very long considering that their family has reported them missing.

Inquiries into Pope’s ancestors’ involvement with the Cross of Santo Domingo are likewise likely to continue.

It is well known that in season 2, Ward Cameron pretended to die, and he is currently attempting to disappear.

Ward is likely to play a crucial role in the battle moving forward after a few run-ins around the conclusion of the second season, including John B sparing his life. But will he be discovered?
