Crystal Renay, Ne-Yo’s wife has filed for divorce from the musician, stating that he is the father of a child with another woman despite earlier allegations that he was unfaithful to her.
On Thursday, Page Six was able to receive copies of the divorce proceedings in which the model, who is 36 years old, makes the allegation that Ne-Yo, who is 42 years old, “recently fathered a minor” with his “paramour.”
On Monday, Renay submitted the necessary court documents, in which she said that the couple had separated on July 22.
She said that there was “no prospect for healing” in their marriage because it was “irretrievably damaged.” In the beginning, she and the Grammy winner, whose birth name is Shaffer Chimere Smith, tied the knot in the month of February in the year 2016.
After divorcing each other two years later, the on-again, off-again couple finally tied the knot one more in April 2022. The couple is parents to three little ones: Shaffer, who is six years old; Roman, who is four; and Isabella, who is one.
In addition, Ne-Yo is the father of Madilyn, who is now 11, and Mason, who is now 10, whom he had with his ex-girlfriend Monyetta Shaw.

Renay included a request for primary physical custody of the children as well as a request for joint legal custody in the paperwork she submitted on August 1.
In a lengthy statement that she published on Instagram the day before, she accused her boyfriend Ne-Yo of cheating on her and referred to their time together as “eight years of lies and deception.”
Crystal Renay continued by saying, “8 years of naively sharing my life and spouse with a multitude of women who sell their bodies to him unprotected… every single one of them!” The actress, who later described herself as “heartbroken and disgusted,” continued her letter by saying, “To want me to stay and accept it is completely ridiculous.”

In the post that Renay uploaded on social media, which has since been deleted, she said that she got “nothing else than lost years and pain” from Ne-Yo in addition to her “three lovely children.”
On Sunday, the musician gave a response to the charges made by his former partner via Twitter. He wrote: “For the sake of our children, my family and I will work through our issues behind closed doors.”

He went on to say that private issues should never be discussed or analyzed in a public setting since they are not designed to be shared with the public.
