The Venom movie, officially named Venom. Let There Be Carnage. In Venom: Let There Be Carnage, Eddie and Venom are back for more jokey fighting, symbiote fights, and off-screen head-biting.

The pandemic pushed back a lot of movies, including the sequel to the superhero movie. It will finally come out in the UK in October and even got a rare move up in the US. Venom: Let There Be Carnage is one of the upcoming Marvel movies.

For now, it is not connected to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but rumours of a crossover are getting stronger. Tom Holland hasn’t been seen in the marketing for Venom, even though a Sony executive has said that there are plans for a crossover.

The Release Date for Venom 2

Venom 2’s release date has shifted several times like a symbiotic symbiote, but it has finally found a host: the sequel released in US theatres on October 1, 2021, according to digitalspy.

UK fans, on the other hand, may have to wait a little longer – it’s still planned for a 15th October release date in the UK, presumably to prevent a conflict with the next Bond film No Time to Die.

Overall, this is the sixth release date for Tom Hardy’s sequel, which was originally scheduled to debut on October 2, 2020, nearly precisely a year earlier before being postponed owing to the COVID-19 epidemic.

“What we won’t do is make the mistake of releasing a very, very costly $200 million film before we know that theaters are open and functioning at considerable capacity,” Sony Pictures Entertainment Chairman Tony Vinciquerra previously stated.

“Over the next six months, you’ll see a lot of unusual things happen in terms of how films are released, planned, and advertised, but once we go back to normal, I think we’ll have learned a lot and discovered ways to do things that are somewhat different and hopefully better.”

The following posters include tongues, teeth, and tentacles aplenty, the first of which is a throwback to the original Venom poster, which merged half of Venom’s face with half of Hardy’s.

Venom: Let There Be Carnage began filming on November 18th, 2019 at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden in Watford, England, and ended in Spring 2020, just in time for the global halt of film production.

Where Can I Find Venom 2 to Watch Online?

Sony, unlike Disney and Warner Bros., does not have an in-house streaming service to undertake a split streaming/cinema release, depending instead on a full cinema release.

Venom: Let There Be Carnage, like most movies, will ultimately be available to watch, albeit it will be at least a few months after its theatrical premiere.

Netflix is the most probable option to become the Venom sequel’s eventual streaming home, given that Sony and Netflix inked a significant contract in April 2021. However, there may be some delay – theatrical releases might take anything from a few months to two years to reach the streaming service.

However, because the Netflix-Sony arrangement was just for the United States, Venom: Let There Be Carnage might potentially end up on a different streaming site in the UK — and the superhero sequel will of course be available to buy and rent on Amazon Prime and Apple TV.

The Cast of Venom 2

We couldn’t have a Venom sequel without the return of Tom Hardy, who will of course be resuming his role as Eddie Brock, the journalist who shares a human body with the symbiote known as Venom.

“I can say that Tom Hardy will be back, beautifully portraying that role like no one else can,” producer Amy Pascal stated. “When you think about Venom [the character], you’ll never be able to think of anyone else Tom Hardy sitting in that bathtub of lobsters. And once you saw Tom Hardy execute this role, that’s all you needed to know.”

Michelle Williams is also returning her character of Anne Weying and has told Yahoo! that she’d want to spend more time as She-Venom in the sequel.

Woody Harrelson, who made a notable appearance as serial murderer Cletus Kasady in Venom’s post-credits sequence, will also be back for the sequel (without the dubious wig) (minus the dodgy wig).

As depicted in the comics, Kasady eventually bonds with another symbiote (Venom’s progeny) and evolves into the supervillain Carnage, an evil so terrible that Spider-Man and Venom have joined forces to take him down in multiple storylines.

When asked about Harrelson’s involvement, film director Ruben Fleischer confirmed it in an interview with Collider. “You have a wonderful primary character in Venom, but now you’ve got Woody Harrelson, who’s going to make his little entry here,” Fleischer said.

In keeping with the high standard of acting skills in these films, James Bond actress Naomie Harris has been cast in the Venom sequel as sound-powered villain Shriek, who frequently acts as Carnage’s lethal sidekick.

Stephen Graham, who starred in Line of Duty and The Irishman, will play Detective Mulligan, who is usually assumed to be Marvel’s, Patrick Mulligan. Mulligan becomes a host for Toxin, a strong symbiote generated by Carnage, in the comics, leading speculation that Toxin would emerge in this picture as a third-act twist or be set up as the villain of Venom 3.

Kraven, a legendary Spider-Man villain, may also appear in the film, according to rumors, with Aaron Taylor-Johnson slated to play the role in a future standalone film.

Reid Scott (Late Night) will also be seen more like Anne’s new lover Dan, a doctor with the compassion and understanding of a saint who assists Eddie after his initial change.

Who is the Director of Venom 2?

Due to director Ruben Fleischer’s commitment to the Zombieland sequel, actor-turned-director Andy Serkis was called in as his substitute, apparently beating out Rise of the Planet of the Apes’ Rupert Wyatt and Bumblebee’s Travis Knight for the top spot.

Serkis stated on Twitter, “It’s happening.” “The Symbiote has found a host in me, and I’m ready to go on this adventure… “I’m very excited!”

Serkis, in particular, has extensive expertise with motion capture and/or animation methods, implying that the sequel will have a more inventive and aesthetically stunning take on the CGI symbiote. (Academy Award-winning cinematographer Robert Richardson, who recently collaborated with Tarantino on Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, will join Serkis on the project.)

Serkis remarked, “It’s a terrific property, and I’m honored to be invited to direct it” (via IGN). “It feels like a very modern narrative, and I believe it will be a wonderful piece of film,” she says.

“I have some very strong ideas about what I want to see aesthetically, and how we can take the characters to another dimension,” he said, adding that he was still “in the initial phases” of putting the picture together.

Hardy, the film’s actor and executive producer, will still be in charge of most of the creative direction. Serkis remarked (via /Film): “Tom is engaged with the scripting of the new tale with Kelly Marcel, so it’s very much based around their viewpoint.”

After months of discussing the story with the film’s scriptwriter Kelly Marcel, Hardy will be given his first ‘Story By’ credit.

“Getting credit is new for him, but he’s not new to be this involved,” Marcel told Empire Online. “He puts his whole heart and soul into whatever he does.”

Before she penned the script, Marcel, who also co-authored the original Venom, claimed the two of them spent “months breaking the tale together on FaceTime, riffing on ideas, seeing what worked, seeing what didn’t.”

Marcel added, “He’s married to Venom.” “This is a persona he adores. He’s passionate about what he believes should happen.”

Hardy has also stated that there’s a good possibility he’ll return to work with Marcel on a third picture.

“I’m thinking about the third movie as well,” Hardy told Esquire. “I think you need to write it at the same time.” “A third won’t be approved until the second is a hit, but the studio was ecstatic with number two.”

Is Tom Holland’s Spider-man Reprising His Role in Venom 2?

While Sony and Marvel are no longer at odds over Spider-Man (with Marvel developing another solo Spidey film and including him in another team-up film), we anticipate the characters to reunite at some time.

Spider-Man and Venom’s status as arch-nemeses in the comics makes the Venom series the obvious way for the character to check-in.

According to Geeks WorldWide, Holland may have a cameo part in the second Venom film as a result of leaked casting materials — but, it’s unclear if he’ll play the Peter Parker we know and love from flicks like Infinity War, or an alternate universe Spider-Man.

Venom 2 might cross over with the forthcoming Morbius film starring Jared Leto, which is set in the same world as Venom 2.

When questioned by Esquire, Hardy intimated, if cryptically, that he would be interested in sharing the screen alongside Spider-Man.

“I don’t see why that couldn’t be done if both parties are willing and it’s good to both sides,” Hardy added. “I hope and joyfully push towards that possibility with both hands, and would do whatever to make that happen, within the bounds of what is proper in business.”

Serkis, on the other hand, is less enthusiastic, and while he admits that “everyone is clamoring for Venom to meet Spider-Man,” he told Screen Rant that he’d rather Venom fight more villains from the film’s Ravencroft Institute before meeting the web-slinger.

“I suppose some of the other supervillains that live in Ravencroft have a lot of mileage,” Serkis added. “I believe there is a lot… There’s plenty of fruitful ground to be found there. That’s the kind of sandbox I’d want to play. “Who’s hiding in there, waiting to erupt?”
