The likes of Kim Kardashian, Megan Fox, and Kendal Jenner were spotted at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, all clad in garments designed by some of the most renowned fashion houses in the world.

The attire worn by TikTok singer Dixie D’Amelio, who also attended the renowned event, has caused more than a few people to raise an eyebrow.

Dixie D’amelio Met Gala in 2021

Dixie D’Amelio is a musician as well as a social media influencer, and she has become a celebrity in her own right because of the content she creates for TikTok, her music videos, and now her reality show.

The D’Amelio Show is a docuseries that airs on Hulu and gives viewers an inside look at the lives of the D’Amelio family, which includes Dixie, her sister Charli, and both of their parents.

Dixie made her debut at the Met Gala in a short black dress by Valentino and a massive black feathery headpiece that has been referred to by some as a “bird’s nest.”

She finished off the ensemble by donning long white gloves and clear perspex heels. After making a hasty change, the TikTok celebrity appeared at the after-party wearing a different costume designed by Valentino.

Fans React to Dixie’s Look

The outfit that Dixie wore to the Met Gala was met with a variety of responses from internet users, but it is safe to say that many of her supporters have rallied to her defense.

valentino encouraged her to attend the Met Gala, and as a result, he selected an outfit for her to wear based on the theme for this year’s event. She looked very lovely in the costume, which was modelled after Audrey Hepburn’s style.

Why Was Her Sister Charli Missing From the Event?

Because of her young age, Charli did not attend the Met Gala in 2021. The YouTube sensation is only 17 years old, whereas everyone who attended the event had to be at least 18 years old.

The reason for this, according to a spokeswoman for the Met Gala, is that “It is not an appropriate event for those under the age of 18.”

During an interview with Sirius XM, Charli stated, “The funny thing about [the rumors] is that I’m actually not old enough to go to the Met Gala, but I have gotten so much hate about that, and I’m like, guys, I can’t even go.”

Charli’s comments were made in reference to the fact that she is not yet old enough to attend the Met Gala.
