In terms of Amazon Prime, which is one of the most popular streaming services out of the lot, there are some must-watch shows for fantasy fans right now. Let’s take a look at some of them below.

Good Omens

Created by Neil Gaiman and featuring famous faces from the acting world like Michael Sheen and David Tennant, Good Omens is a Terry Pratchett book that has transitioned over to our television screens beautifully. Set in the middle of the Apocalypse, the story centers on a demon and an angel as they try to stop the world from ending and keep the war between heaven and hell from further escalating, especially as neither of them wants the Antichrist to rise. Alongside taking a deeper look at aspects of religion, this fantasy universe product is a great watch.

Carnival Row

Featuring a star-studded line-up including the likes of Orlando Bloom and Cara Delevingne, Carnival Row is a fantasy-filled feast set in an urban fantasy steampunk world. With love and division on show throughout, the production shows the struggle for mythical creatures as they aim to survive and thrive in a city full of humans. All in all, though, there are many storylines within Carnival Row, but that is essentially the main premise. From the occasional murder-mystery to tales of deep love, this fantasy masterpiece is well worth a watch.

The Outpost

Not everyone has necessarily heard of The Outpost, but it certainly deserves more of a mention given its excellent offering on the whole. Starring the likes of Jessica Green, Jake Stormoen and Imogen Waterhouse, this recent production focuses on Talon, the last remaining survivor of a race known as the Blackbloods. With her people killed and her village destroyed, she soon aims to seek revenge for her loved ones. Along her journey, she discovers a selection of supernatural powers that she can use to her advantage during her challenging mission.

ImageThe X-Files

A classic show that was created by Chris Carter and has been in action since 1993, The X-Files is ingrained into popular culture and was regularly shown during many peoples’ youthful days. Now, the show can be sampled in the modern world, as two FBI agents investigate unexplained crimes and immerse themselves in the supernatural. Both Mulder and Scully make for a perfect pairing, with on-screen chemistry evident and an all-round production that is hard to better. Put simply, this undoubted classic is worth sampling if you haven’t done so already.

Other options on Amazon Prime for fantasy fans at the moment include American Gods, The Wheel of Time, Grimm, The Legend of Vox Machina, Merlin, The Librarians, Dramaworld, The Underground Railroad, and Bewitched.
