The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power is a fantasy streaming television series created by J.R.R. Tolkien. Patrick McKay and D. Payne for Amazon Prime Video Based on J.R.R. Tolkien’s novel The Lord of the Rings and its appendices.

The series is set in the Middle-Second earth Age, thousands of years before Tolkien’s The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings. Amazon Studios is producing it in collaboration with New Line Cinema and consultation with the Tolkien Estate.
