Jasper Was What Kind of Dog?

Perino stated that a rapidly-spreading cancer was the cause of death and wrote on Instagram that she was holding him while saying goodbye and “talking about all the fishing he can do in Heaven.” Jasper died at 12:40 p.m. Sept. 4, 2021, at age 9.

The couple thought they wouldn’t be able to get another dog anytime soon. They changed their minds after two nights in a Henry-less flat, and Jasper moved in with them two months later.

Jasper quickly became a fixture on Perino’s social media accounts, where he romped on the beach and rode shotgun in the sidecar of the couple’s Harley-Davidson motorcycle.

She explained that because of her work at Fox News, viewers got to know her dog very well. “On Saturday, September 4, 2021, at 12:40 PM, Jasper, America’s dog, passed away.

He was nine years old,” she wrote in a blog post for the outlet. Jasper “was such a great sport when we’d have him on set. He will never be on ‘The Five’ or ‘America’s Newsroom’ again,” she wrote.

For television, he always sported a tie. Having spent his entire life being over-photographed, he had a good sense of the cameras. Jasper first appeared on “The Five” in June 2012 as a tiny puppy that she could easily hold in her arms.

Later in the tribute piece, she added, Everyone at Fox News was familiar with Jasper, and even though he didn’t accompany me to work, his presence was still felt there. Brown Vizsla named Jasper.
