Why Did Rick Prime Kill the Wife and Daughter of Rick?

Why Rick Prime Immortal?

From what has been shown of ‘Rick and Morty’s’ new villain, Rick Prime, he always seems to look the same age. This has led to rumours that he might be immortal. In the most recent episode, it was made clear that he can’t be hurt by attacks like a knife cut, which leaves a huge gash on his throat but heals instantly.
