Steven Moffat is the creator of the drama-thriller TV series Inside Man. The first episode of the four-part series aired on BBC One on September 26, 2022. Inside Man is a new mystery show on Netflix that comes from the mind of Steven Moffat. This is a guide to the show’s ending. David Tennant, Stanley Tucci, Dolly Wells, Lydia West, Kate Dickie, and Lyndsey Marshal are some of the actors in the show.

There are only four episodes in the series, and they tell the stories of two very different people in very different situations. One is about a priest who is in a tough spot because he has to defend his son against something that he can’t defend.

The other is of a man on death row who is actually a very good criminologist who is still taking on cases to solve. In this article, we’ll talk about how “Inside Man” ends and try to figure out what happens to Janice.

What Happens to Janice In Inside Man?

Janice takes a lot of hard blows throughout “Inside Man,” both on purpose and by accident, but she manages to stay alive until the very end. She plays Harry and Mary against each other in a desperate attempt to get out of her bad situation. Despite her best efforts, Janice ends up with serious injuries, including multiple bruises, cuts, and bleeding from falling down the stairs and tripping in the kitchen.

She even hits her own head against a pole to get out of her chains, which makes her head injury worse. Janice holds on to life despite everything. But her luck runs out when Ben, one of the robbers, shows up and hits her in the head with a hammer, killing her. In “Inside Man,” Janice’s survival is due to a number of things, such as Beth’s arrival and Grieff’s smart induction skills and resourcefulness.

Beth appears out of nowhere and tries to stop Harry as he is about to give Janice the final blow. Even though Harry wins the fight at first and holds a hammer over Voldemort’s head, he tries to explain that he is not the monster people think he is.

But just as he’s about to attack again, Grieff’s cunning comes into play again when the men he tricked into coming to Harry’s house arrive and stop him. Harry is taken into custody at the conclusion of the series, and Janice is taken to the hospital for emergency care.

What Harry Was Sent to Prison for In Inside Man?

At the conclusion of Inside Man, it is not made clear why David Tennant’s character, a village vicar, is locked up. But it’s most likely because he tried to kill Janice and put her in jail when he didn’t mean to. In a video call with Jefferson Grieff, the killer mentions Harry’s unintentional attempt to kill his son, but it’s not clear if this is why Harry is in jail.

Grieff reminds Tennant of the lives lost as a result of his actions, including Edgar and Mary, despite his character’s claims that he is not a bad guy. It’s not clear if Harry was locked up because he had Edgar’s child pornography. Edgar’s suicide note suggests that Harry wasn’t a pedophile and was covering for someone else, so it’s possible that this crime was removed from his record.

However, Edgar may have killed himself as a result of Harry’s actions in pressuring him to confess his sins, making Harry responsible for inciting or manslaughter. No matter what the charges are, Harry is very sorry for what he did to cause Edgar’s death. This guilt is likely to follow him around for the rest of his life.

What Occurs With Ben?

In the last few seconds of “Inside Man” episode 3, Harry accidentally locks his son Ben in the cellar with Janice. Louis Oliver plays Ben from Mike Flanagan’s “Midnight Mass.” The two of them get into a fight, and in a fit of rage, Ben hits Janice with a hammer, which seems to kill her.

Harry calls the police and says he killed the man because he wants to protect his son. But when Janice wakes up, Harry realizes he has to keep her quiet, so she doesn’t talk about Ben’s attack or her mistaken belief that he has child pornography. Ben, who is now covered in blood and upset by what happened, falls to the ground and throws up.

In the last conversation of the Steven Moffat show, Harry says that he is to blame for everything, even trying to kill his son by accident. Even though the situation is terrible, Ben is not facing any charges for attacking Janice and is not thought to be a child molester. He is getting over the trauma and coming to terms with the death of his mother while living with his uncle.

How Grief Discovered About Janice?

Grieff sends Beth to Janice’s house first, where she finds Mary, Harry’s wife, trying to return the tutor’s laptop. This causes a big fight between the two women, which ends tragically when Mary steps in front of an oncoming bus.

Beth then figures out that Janice isn’t at the house and goes to Harry’s house because she thinks it’s the only other place she could be. She gets there just in time to stop Harry from finishing the murder that his son Ben started.

Due to his criminology degree and years as a law instructor, Jefferson Grieff, a U.S. death row inmate, has a penchant for analyzing unsolved cases. Several individuals request special visits to hear his advice, expecting that his experience in similarly gruesome and criminal activities may inform his judgments.

Janice, a brave and smart woman, saves journalist Beth from a train harasser. Friendship follows. Ben’s maths tutor is Janice. Harry assists his verger Edgar by hiding his porn-filled flash drive from his stern mother. Later, he takes the drive home and Janice inserts it into her laptop while he’s doing something else.

She’s horrified by what she sees, and Ben, who jokes that it’s his father’s porn drive, doesn’t know that it’s much worse. Janice shows Harry the flash drive, which contains child pornography. Harry is appalled. Janice mistakenly thinks Ben owns the flash disc.

Harry tries to clarify the air and tells her it’s not Ben’s but stupidly doesn’t tell her Edgar’s to rescue the suicidal man. He informs her that the drive is his, knowing that Janice will report the mistake to the police and what it will do to his kid. Janice only sees his efforts as a frantic father covering up for his son.

Janice falls down the basement steps and is severely injured after a series of preventable events. Harry locks Janice in the basement since the problem is unfixable. Janice sends Beth a photo of her fight with Harry. Janice sending Beth this note is uncommon, so Beth is skeptical. Before that message, Beth interviews Grieff for an article.

Afterward, she brings him a morally good case as that’s his only criterion. Harry informs his wife of the catastrophe, and they try to find a solution. Harry refuses to kill Janice, even though Mary does. He attempts to get Edgar to confess but pities him again after seeing his mess. He frames himself for it, but Edgar’s suicide complicates the situation.

If Janice goes to the police, his message won’t protect the Vicar’s son. Mary and Harry kill her, with Harry taking full responsibility. He poisons Janice with carbon monoxide, unaware that Ben has entered the basement after being suspicious of his parents. Beth follows Grieff into Janice’s flat without knowing.

Mary also returns Janice’s laptop to the flat. Beth and Mary fight, and Mary dies suddenly in an accident. The intelligent Janice keeps pressing Ben to phone the police, but he’s befuddled by the monoxide. Ben hits Janice in the head with a hammer before Harry finds his son and rushes down to save him.

Harry takes responsibility while Ben recovers and flees his father. After finding Janice alive, Beth stops Harry from killing her. Grieff’s deceptions also get some men to Harry’s basement on time.
