Peter’s first job is to beat Romain De Smedt, who is the King’s best soldier. Vilna tells Peter that she stole a book of fairy tales from De Smedt during the war. This gives Peter something to use as a bargaining chip. The book moves De Smedt, so he gives up. Peter has to fly for his second task.

Peter realizes how much the elephant misses her family and wants to go back to them. As the morning comes, everyone gets together to wait for Peter’s last task. But the joke doesn’t work, so the King tells his people to take the elephant away. Peter stands up to the King and tells him that the elephant should go back to where she belongs.
At that moment, the fortune-teller comes back, and time seems to stop for a second. She takes a pinch of pepper and puts it on a nearby cat, then puts the cat next to the elephant’s boot. The fortune-teller goes away, and time goes back to normal. The elephant takes a whiff of the pepper and then sneezes so hard that it soaks the King.
When the Countess sees the show, she starts laughing out loud. The King is happy that Peter won, so he lets him take the elephant with him.
How Did Peter Send the Elephant Back to Its Home?
Peter says that the Magician is the only one who can take the elephant back to her rightful home because he was the one who brought her to the city in the first place. But the Magician had already said that he hadn’t meant to make a bouquet of lilies appears out of thin air and that he had only cast a spell to make people think he had.
Madam LeVaughn says that this spell set off a chain of events that led to the current situation, where everyone in the city, including the King, believes in the Magician’s skills. Together, they lead the elephant and the rest of the group to the city center, where the Magician uses his magic to send the elephant back home.
How Peter Found His Lost Sister?
Peter always hoped that his sister was still alive because he remembered holding her close. Vilna remembers seeing a nurse with two babies in a house, and since she didn’t know how to take care of a baby, she took the boy. Soon after he left, the house blew up, and Vilna thought that the nurse and the baby had died.
But they were able to stay alive, and they went to the garrison to meet Vilna and the boy. The garrison was unfortunately destroyed, and the nurse thought Vilna had died because he had taken the boy down a different path. It turned out that the nurse was Sister Marie, and the baby who had been taken away from her brother all those years ago was Adele.
