According to The New York Times, Seal estimated that he smuggled around 300 kilograms of cocaine each month for the cartel between 1980 and 1984. In 1984, the street value of cocaine in the United States was approximately $50,000 per kilogram.

This indicates that Seal was responsible for bringing in approximately $180 million worth of cocaine annually. Assuming he received a 10% commission, his yearly income from drug smuggling would have been around $18 million.
